Scripps Spelling Bee Participation 2024-2025
Study lists for this year’s Spelling Bee were sent home the week of October 14. Middle School students were given an opportunity to pick a study list up from Mrs. Fabsik. Scripps does not allow posting this list to the web, so keep this list in a safe place.
Grade Level Spelling Bees
- Grade level bees will take place on Thursday, December 5.
- The Spelling Bee is “opt out”. If you do NOT want your child participating in the Bee or your child does NOT want to participate, please indicate that on the permission form in the Radius Parent Portal .
- Students will be responsible for knowing the spelling of the words for the Grade Level Bee. Additional words which are not published, may also be used.
- Two spellers from each GRADE level will move on to the All School Spelling Bee on Wednesday, January 15.
- During any Bee, a student may ask for the definition, a sentence, part of speech, or language of origin of the word. Once beginning to spell, a student can restart spelling, but may not change any letters already spoken. Judges’ decisions are final.
- There is no make-up date.
