Quest Academy Shines at State History Fair!

This past Thursday, Quest Academy was proudly represented at the State History Fair in Springfield, IL — and what a showing it was! 🎉
Three incredible students are headed to National History Day in College Park, MD (June 8–12):
🏅 Reed Q. – Junior Individual Performance: “The Balfour Declaration: Disregarding Arab Rights and False Responsibilities”
🏅 Nina B. – “The Bhopal Gas Tragedy: An Ongoing Fight for Rights and Responsibility”
🏅 Paige T. – Website: “Calling the Shots: How Vaccination Changed the Rights and Responsibilities of Public Health”
In the past 20+ years, Quest has now qualified 19 projects to Nationals—and this year marks one of its strongest showings yet!
Also making it to the top six in Illinois:
📄 Macy L. – Paper: “June 3rd, 1989: The Tiananmen Massacre’s Beginnings and Effects on Rights & Responsibilities”
🎥 Portia D. – Documentary: “Making Their Voices Heard: How American Women Seized Responsibility for Their Voting Rights”
💻 Leo G. – Website: “Judgement at Nuremberg: Upholding Rights – Reckoning with Responsibility”
👏 Big kudos to Vedant S. and Shaarav B. for their high-level work as well!
From Mr. Shilhanek: “I cannot tell you how proud I am of this group… To earn six spots in the state finals alone is amazing, but to advance three to Nationals? That is incredible.”
