Quest Students shine at Invention Convention 2022
On May 21st, the Chicago Area Invention Convention winners were announced.
The day began with a showcase where the students presented their projects to each other, Invention Convention sponsors and to the competition judges. It was exciting for our Quest Academy students to show off their incredible work!
As for the awards, Quest Academy had an incredible showing:
- In 5th grade, Paige Timpe took 1st place and won the Molex Award and Avi Nanisetty won 2nd place. Paige, Avi and Rayan Zaidi all earned a trip to compete at Nationals. Congratulations go to our Mrs Annabel Hasty for such an incredible showing in her first year as a teacher, leading a team at Inverntion Convention.
- In 6th grade, Hania Sayed took 1st place and Gunnar Swift took 2nd place.
- In 7th grade, Nishant Narayan took 1st place and Riya Cheriyan won the Founder’s Award.
- In 8th Grade, Aria Barve and Kelly Feng won 2nd place and earned a place at Nationals. Jeff Zavelsky and Reid Petersen also earned a spot at Nationals.

Avi Nanisetti has won the patent award for his invention! Avi was selected for the utility patent by the lawyers at Thomas Coburn LLP, and they will work with Avi to get his patent filed and explore the next steps.
