We are proud to congratulate Matthew Griesmeyer, Quest Academy Class of 2018, on being named a National Merit semifinalist by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation! The nationwide pool of semifinalists represents less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors and includes the highest scoring entrants in each state. Griesmeyer and other qualifiers entered the 2022 National Merit Scholarship program by taking the preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The semifinalists have an opportunity to continue on in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships.

Griesmeyer is currently attending high school at Loyola Academy in Wilmette. He serves as the captain of both the Scholastic Bowl and Math Team. Griesmeyer is also a part of his school’s acapella group, E-Gaming Club, and Loyola Alliance. Moving forward to college, he plans on studying something in the math or science field.
