Gifted Education Gives Students a Chance to Thrive

Studies show more than seven in ten public school teachers (73%) agree that “too often, the brightest students are bored and under-challenged in school—we’re not giving them a sufficient chance to thrive.”

Most teachers at public schools believe that academically advanced students are not a high priority. They think that these students are bored, underserved, and unlikely to get the curriculum enrichment and resources that high achievers need. The same percentage of teachers (73%) agrees that electives, humanities, and the arts “are getting short shrift because schools are putting so much focus on the basics.”
