Our Quest Academy Debate Team had a wonderful 1st outing last month at the inter-scholastic Debate Tournament at Sacred Heart School on October 22nd.
Fifth through Eighth Graders competed as paired teams in both the Novice and Junior Varsity Divisions.
Congratulations to our Novice Speakers, Aariz, Aarush, Amelia, Palash, Portia, Reed, Rishi, Rohan & Veda. Quest Academy teams swept the Novice Competition with awards going to:
- Aariz & Palash (1st)
- Amelia & Veda (2nd)
- Portia & Reed (3rd)
- Aarush (maverick – 4th)
- Rohan & Rishi (8th)
In the Junior Varsity Division, our competitors were Alex, Arnav, Maanya, Mark, Mikey, Nishant, Ravi, Riya, Shivani and Sumaer. Quest Academy teams also swept the Junior Varsity Division with the following teams earning honors:
- Nishant & Sumaer (1st)
- Riya & Mark (2nd)
- Ravi & Mikey (4th)
- Shivani & Maanya (5th)
- Alex & Arnav (6th)
